September 10, 2006 Red Sox 7, Royals 3
| Manny Ramirez with a solid day at the plate and some sloppy Royals fielding give the Sox the win to sweep the series. 5th straight win for the Red Sox, who tie their longest winning streak of the season. Manny was a terror today, going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a homerun, and knocking in 4. Julian Tavarez goes 7 innings and gets a solid start with the exception of the 4th inning, when the Royals scored all three of their runs. |
