August 8, 2007 Yankees 17, White Sox 13

Had to put this one in, as this has to be one of the craziest games that I have seen. Check out the line score - you will see what I mean. And how about that A-Rod? 9 RBI with a grand slam, a 3-run homer, and a 2-run double.

Third baseman Alex Rodriguez rocketed 2 homeruns at US Cellular Field as the
New York (AL) Yankees beat the floundering Chicago (AL) White Sox 17 to
13.

Rodriguez was unconscious all evening. The Chicago (AL) fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He caught
a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th inning, clubbed a
three-run home run (his 28th of the season) in the 6th inning and doubled
bringing in two baserunners in the 9th inning. New York (AL) kept the
scorekeepers busy in the 4th inning when they had 4 runs on 3 hits and the
7th inning with 4 runs on 3 hits. Both teams ended up with 17 on the night.

Scott Proctor(8-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. Proctor got relief help from Mariano Rivera who gained credit
for his 31st save. Mike Macdougal(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.
He was knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 3 innings.
