July 30, 2006 Marlins 5, Phillies 1

The winning streak ends at 9 as the Marlins take game two of a doubleheader in a very sloppilly pitched game on both sides. Randy Wolf gets his first start of the year and shows the rust, walking 4 in 6 2/3 and getting the loss. 11 walks overall in the game, with the Phils walking 6 and the Marlins 5. Even Marlins stopper Joe Borowski got a rare at-bat, and ripped a double and scored a run!

Phillies by a score of 5 to 1 at Citizen's Bank Park.

Florida went ahead for good in the 5th inning plating an isolated run using 2
hits. Florida managed 10 in their victory.

Anibal Sanchez(5-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 1 run. Joe Borowski earned the save, his 27th. Randy Wolf(0-1)

'After the stretch we have been through lately, this victory is especially
sweet' offered Joe Girardi. Now, we just have to make this the norm - not
the exception!'
