| Manny Ramirez has the game of his life in every facet of the game. In the field, he threw out a runner at the plate in the Angels 8th inning which would have given the Angels the lead, and at the plate goes 5 for 5 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. Two singles, a double,and those 2 RBI were driving in himself, as a solo homer in the 7th tied the game 7-all, and a walk-off homer in the 12th wins it. The Angles led at one point 6-2 and 7-3, but the Sox mounted the comeback. |

Manny Ramirez blasted 2 homeruns and scored 4 times as the Boston Red Sox
outscored the struggling Los Angeles(AL) Angels in 12 innings 8 to 7.
The score was tied at 7 after nine. Boston won the hard fought contest in the
12th inning. Ramirez delivered a solo blast (his 27th of the season) giving
Boston the victory as 23,612 happy fans celebrated wildly. Los Angeles(AL)
had 16 hits in the game while Boston had 13, but Boston had the more timely
hits.
Rudy Seanez(5-1) allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Brendan Donnelly(2-3) took the loss in relief. 'Ramirez led the way
- we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Seanez said. 'I'm glad I
don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
