July 19, 2006 Padres 5, Phillies 4 (10)

For the second straight game, the Phillies lose late. Chris Coste's first homer of the year, a 3-run blast, broke a scoreless tie in the 5th, but San Diego got 2 in the bottom of the 5th and the 6th to take a 4-3 lead. Ryan Howard's solo shot in the top of the 9th tied the game back up at 4-all. The Phillies had a chance in the 10th with the bases loaded and two out, but could not score, and the Pads get a single, walk, and a walk-off double by Josh Bard off Tom Gordon to win the game in the bottom of the 10th.

Next up for the Phillies are the second place Braves, who are tied for second with the Mets 2 games behind the Phils.
