Johan Santana perfect game

The leading Cy Young candidate Johan Santana goes to 17-3, and you can see why with games like this - a PERFECT GAME!! The Tigers send 27 men to the plate, and 27 men go down in order. Way back in the dice days when I was a kid I had a perfect game, but I messed with the dice so it would happen. This is the first real perfect game I have ever had in the over 20 year history of my SOM.

History was made in Minnesota as Johan Santana(17-3) thrilled the crowd by
tossing a perfect game and the Minnesota Twins defeated the reeling Detroit
Tigers by the score of 4 to nothing.

Santana had an afternoon to remember. Heck, it's one we'll all remember! What
a game at Metrodome! The tension started to build around the 6th inning. By
the 9th inning the crowd was electrified. Santana struckout 12 Detroit
batters. Minnesota managed 9 in their victory.

Jeremy Bonderman(9-9) took the loss. He pitched 4 and 2/3 innings allowing 6
hits and 1 walk. 'Santana pitched one heck of a game!' Ron Gardenhire said.
'He didn't get away with any bad pitches because he just didn't throw any bad
pitches. What a performance!'
