| What had been a close 4-2 game fell apart in the 8th inning, when one of the most horrid innings of baseball that I have had happened. Here it is: *** TOP OF INNING 8 *** 0 J.Barfield 2 Double b-2 SUBSTITUTE PH- Eric Young 0 2 E.Young 3 Home Run 2-H b-H 0 D.Roberts 5 Pop Out b-0 1 M.Cameron 4 Home Run b-H SUBSTITUTE P - Arthur Rhodes SUBSTITUTE CF- Shane Victorino 1 B.Giles 5 HBP b-1 1 1 M.Piazza 2 Double 1-3 b-2 1 23 A.Gonzalez 0 Int Walk b-1 1 123 K.Greene 3 Single 3-H 2-H 1-3 b-1 1 1 3 V.Castilla 5 Walk 1-2 b-1 1 123 J.Barfield 5 Double & Error - LF 3-H 2-H 1-H b-H SUBSTITUTE P - Rick White 1 E.Young 3 Ground Out b-0 2 D.Roberts 1 Ground Out b-0 9 runs for the Padres in the inning, and they add 2 more in the 9th for the 15-2 drubbing. inning with 9 runs on 6 hits. San Diego had 21 hits for the game and
Philadelphia had 4.
