| The tables get turned on the Phils today, as they allow 10 or more runs for only the second time this season. Khail Greene hits 2 homers, Mike Cameron falls a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle, and 8 solid innings for Jake Peavy are enough for the Pads victory. The only Phillie highlight is a David Dellucci pinch-hit homerun in the 7th inning. Despite the fact that 3 Phillie pitchers struck out 13 Padres, they also allowed 13 hits and 11 runs. |

Khalil Greene slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the San Diego Padres
defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 11 to 2 at Citizen's Bank
Park.
Greene had a big day against Philadelphia. He rifled a three-run blast in the
1st inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 10th of the season)
in the 3rd inning. San Diego kept the pressure on throughout the contest as
they scored in 6 different innings.
The victory went to Jake Peavy(6-8) who went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs. The
losing pitcher was Scott Mathieson(0-2). San Diego scored big getting 6 runs
off him in 4 innings.
