June 29, 2006 Red Sox 3, Mets 2

All the scoring today came via the long ball, with Carlos Beltran's 2-run homer to give the Mets the 2-0 lead in the first, David Ortiz's league-leading 34th homer of the season (a 2-run shot) in the 4th to tie the score at 2. Manny hits #20 in the 6th for the 3-2 lead, which would be the final. Seven solid innings from Curt Schilling for win number 9. Timlin pitches a spotless 8th, and Papelbon gets save number 17 to close it out.
