June 26, 2006 Phillies 13, Red Sox 3

What began as a tight pitchers duel between Cory Lidle and Tim Wakefield for the first 3 innings turned into the slaughter at Fenway. The Phils chipped away at Wake in the 4th, 5th and 6th for 4 runs but opened it up in the 7th. Here is how the top of the 7th went:
INNING 7 ***
SUBSTITUTE P - Mike Timlin

0 1 3 S.Victorino 6 Double 3-H 1-3 b-2
SUBSTITUTE P - Craig Hansen
0 23 D.Bell 2 Ground Out 3-H 2-3 b-0

2 1 J.Rollins 3 Double 1-H b-2
2 2 C.Utley 4 Walk b-1
2 12 B.Abreu 2 Single 2-H 1-3 b-1
SUBSTITUTE P - Javier Lopez
2 1 3 R.Howard 6 HBP 1-2 b-1
2 123 A.Rowand 5 Strike Out b-0
*** BOTTOM OF INNING 7

You can see how well Timlin did, with Hansen not much better. At least the meat of the Sox order was good, with 5 of the 6 Sox hits coming from Manny and Ortiz (homers from each of them) as they accounted for basically the entire Sox offense.

What a day for the Philadelphia Phillies! They shellacked the Boston Red Sox
pitching for 13 runs while Cory Lidle(5-4), with relief help from Rick White,
surrendered 3 runs to Boston.

Boston never recovered after Philadelphia took the lead in the 5th inning
scoring 2 runs using 4 hits. David Bell began things off when he blasted a
solo shot (his 10th of the season). David Dellucci stepped up next and he
doubled. Two outs later Chase Utley came to the plate and lashed a single
scoring the final run of the inning. For the game Philadelphia out-hit
Boston 17 to 6.

Tim Wakefield(5-8) ended up with the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 8
hits and 2 walks.
