June 23, 2006 Phillies 13, Red Sox 2
| The Sox lose their 4th straight as they get plastered by the Phils on a 20-hit attack. Big days from Ryan Howard (5 for 5, 3 RBI, scored 4 runs) and Aaron Rowand (3 for 5, 4 RBI) and Ryan Madson's complete game help in the slaughter. Big innings for the Phils, with 3 runs in the first, 3 in the 5th and blow the game open with a 6-run 6th. The lone Sox highlight was Big Papi's major-league leading 31st homer of the year. The Sox fall 3 games below .500, and sit 8 back of the Yankees in third place. The Phillies lead the Mets by 2 in the NL East. |

Ryan Madson was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Ryan Howard had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Fenway Park as the
Philadelphia Phillies belted the Boston Red Sox by the count of 13 to

ripped a base-knock bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning and
delivered a single in the 8th inning. Philadelphia bats were very productive
in the 6th inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 6 hits. Philadelphia
totaled 20 on the night.
