Second baseman Chase Utley ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Brett Myers
struck out 12 batters as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the New York (NL)
Mets 10 to 1 at Citizen's Bank Park.

Utley helped send the fans home happy. He doubled in the 1st inning, smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 4th inning, ripped a solo home run (his 9th of
the season) in the 7th inning and stroked a single scoring a run in the 7th
inning. Philadelphia out-hit New York (NL) for the game, 14 hits to 4.

The win was credited to Myers(5-3) who went 8 innings allowing 1 run. Orlando
Hernandez(3-3) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 3
walks.

Charlie Manual was asked about the performance of Myers, 'He had his good
stuff out there tonight. The fans really get into it when the strikeouts
start mounting up - and that seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
