The Sox sweep the doubleheader from Texas. J.T. Snow, getting a rare start at first, is the star going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI. The Rangers outhit the Red Sox for the game, but as you can see by the LOB totals the Sox made their hits count.

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers by a score of 8 to 4 at Fenway
Park.

Boston started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring 3 runs using 2 hits. After two were out David Ortiz keyed the
rally when he drew a walk. Mike Lowell came next and he hit a single. Trot
Nixon then drew a walk to load the bases. J.T. Snow came up and he doubled
with all three runners coming home. Despite losing, Texas out-hit Boston 14
to 9.

David Pauley(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 3 runs. John Wasdin(2-1) was tagged with the loss. He was touched
for 7 hits and 5 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
