June 11, 2006 Phillies 2, Nationals 1

Good pitchers duel between Hamels and Hill, although neither got a decision. 11 strikeouts in 6 innings for Hamels. Both temas scored single runs in the first inning,

Jimmy Rollins led off the game with a single, stole second, went to third on a Chase Utley groundout, and scored on Bobby Abreu's sac fly. The Nats came right back in the bottom of the first with a Royce Clayton walk, a Jose Guillen double, and Clayton scores on Nick Johnson's groundout.

It would stay tied at 1 until the top of the 9th, when David Bell led off with a solo homerun off Jon Rauch. Rauch had pitched 2 2/3 innings to that point, but was yanked after the homer. Tom Gordon came in for the bottom of the 9th and earned the save.
