The Red Sox can't sem to bust through against Kenny Rogers until Trot Nixon hit a 2-run homer in the 7th, but by then it was too late. Vance Wilson hit 2 homers for the Tigers, and ex-Phillie Placido Polanco has a 4-for-4 day.
