June 2, 2006 Dodgers 4, Phillies 3

The replay of the game that I told you about in the email of course did not go quite as well, although not for lack of trying. Despite outhitting the Dodgers 11-8, 4 Phillies with multiple hit games, and Bobby Abreu stealing 3 bases, the Phillies leave 13 on base for the game. Willy Aybar twice robbing Phillie hitters of base hits didn't help, either.

The Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers nipped the Philadelphia Phillies 4 to 3 at Dodger
Stadium in a hard fought contest.

Jae Seo(4-7) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He was
reached for 8 hits and 4 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings. Philadelphia threatened
in the 9th but their rally came up short.

Takashi Saito got the save, his 17th. Ryan Madson(1-3) ended up with the
loss. Los Angeles(NL) now has a record of 30-25. The loss by Philadelphia
interrupted a nice 8-2 recent run.
