May 22, 2006 Red Sox 9, Yankees 3
| Curt Schilling continues to pitch fairly well, and ups his record to 6-1. The Sox survive a scare in the 8th, as after Keith Foulke had walked the bases loaded with 2 out, Paplebon comes in and gets Bernie Williams to pop out to end the inning. The Sox tack on 4 insurance runs in the 8th thanks to some shoddy Yankee defense, and Paplebon stays on for the 9th for save number 13. Schilling so far on the season has given up only 3 walks in 67 innings of work!! |
