April 6, 2006 Phillies 11, Cardinals 6

Phillies score double digits for the second game in a row. A very sloppy first inning with 2 Phillie errors added in allowed the Cards to bat around and jump straight out to a 5-0 lead. The lead reached 6-0 before the bats came alive in the 3rd, as the Phils get 5 back. The relievers took over from there, only allowing 4 hits the rest of the game. Even pitcher Aaron Fultz got into the act with a 2-run double. Jimmy Rollins is suddenly the slugger deluxe, as he hits 2 homeruns for the second straight game. Last season in my SOM he had a 3 homer game.

Jimmy Rollins slammed 2 homeruns at Citizen's Bank Park as the Philadelphia
Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 11 to 6.

The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Rollins. He ripped a
solo home run in the 3rd inning, slapped a base-hit in the 3rd inning and
delivered a solo blast (his 4th of the season) in the 5th inning.
Philadelphia had 15 hits for the afternoon while St. Louis had 11.

Ryan Franklin(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
no runs. Josh Hancock(0-1) was the loser in relief. He allowed 5 hits and 3
walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
