April 3, 2006 Red Sox 8, Rangers 2
| Sox win the opener over the Rangers starting off with a bang as Ortiz and Manny hit back to back homers in the first inning. Big Papi added another homer in the 6th for good measure. The new arrivals hit ok in the game except for Coco Crisp, with his 0 for 6. Also a nice 8 inning 7 K start for Schilling. Almost left him in for the complete game, but decided not too after Texas got the run in the 8th. |
